C2. Rejection If you haven’t REALLY loved God and Jesus then you will be rejected. Daniel 12:2 says: “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame [and] everlasting contempt.” Also look at the parable that Jesus tells in Luke 12 v 42 - 48. The parable says that if we know what God and Jesus want from us, and we chose not to prepare ourselves for when Jesus returns (i.e. by not showing love, following his commands, and praying for forgiveness – see headline about loving God) then we will be rejected from the being in God’s perfect kingdom that Jesus will set up on this earth (see The Kingdom). The key verse is 47: "And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes."
